Looking back on this inspiring and momentous year, with the official naming and launch of the University of the Arts Singapore (UAS) – a historic moment not only for LASALLE, but for the nation.
A vibrant showcase of contemporary arts, design and performance, The LASALLE Show is a testament to the creativity of our graduating class’ finest.
Celebrating the class of 2023 as they go forth to make their marks.
10 August 2023 marked the centenary of Brother Joseph McNally, the visionary founder of LASALLE College of the Arts. We celebrated Brother McNally's 100th birth anniversary with a year of events, activities and reflections on his legacy.
This year, LASALLE introduced five groundbreaking new programmes to take arts education in Singapore and the region to an even higher level. Our students and alumni continue to be recognised for excellence in their creative fields, from the Young Artist Award to UOB Painting of the Year. Our achievements have been recognised in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, where we are the highest ranked specialist arts institution in Southeast Asia for performing arts, and joint top for art and design.
Art does not happen in a silo.
At LASALLE, community and collaboration are at the heart of our art-making. We celebrated ten years of the public art festival ARTWALK this year, built connections with peers overseas, and welcomed international artists to Singapore for mentorship and sharing. We brought art into public spaces to surprise and delight. We are building communities in the arts, together.
