LASALLE and Mediacorp have pledged to collaborate on developing a range of initiatives that aim to nurture future media professionals and smooth their entry into the workforce upon graduation. The partnership was formalised in February 2025 with the inking of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by Professor Steve Dixon, President of LASALLE, and Ms Tham Loke Kheng, CEO of Mediacorp. The MOU will pave the way for a suite of student engagement programmes and activities to be carried out over a three-year period.

LASALLE champions the power of art and design for social good, and to make a difference in communities.

In this academic year, students from the Diploma in Interior Design put their spatial design skills to use on a wayfinding project in the new Zhenghua estates, where they tackled feedback from residents about difficulties finding their way around. The project served both practical and aesthetic functions, aiming to improve the visibility of landmarks and nearby amenities at Segar Palmview and Senja estates, whilst also enlivening the spaces with visual art and design. In recognition of its success, it received a Municipal Services Award (­­­­­­­­Community category) at the Municipal Services Awards 2024.

First year students from the BA (Hons) Design for Social Futures programme partnered with social service agency Montfort Care to engage with the elder community in the iconic neighbourhood of Tiong Bahru. Through photography, they crafted narratives that explored themes of care, family ties, rituals, placemaking and identity to tell the stories of these seniors.

LASALLE's School of Fashion collaborated with the Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) on the Courage Catwalk 2025, a fundraiser fashion show which saw 20 breast cancer survivors—dubbed "Pink Warriors"—take to the stage in vibrant outfits by LASALLE alumni. The garments were inspired by Singapore's diverse cultures and heritage, as well as the Pink Warriors' stories of courage and healing.
